Professor of Economics at Columbia University, Xavier Sala-i-Martin is Doctor of Philosophy in economics by Harvard University. He has taught Economic Growth and Development at Yale, Harvard and Columbia. He is Senior Economic Advisor of the World Economic Forum, President of the Economic Commission of FC Barcelona and Member of the Counseling Board of Telefónica Catalunya. Pr. Xavier Sala-i-Martin has been awarded with various prizes and Honorary Professorships. He is the author of numerous papers and books, including “Economic Growth”, joint with Robert J. Barro.
